Emerald Coast Fishing Update - This Week
A great mixed catch and another productive day offshore.
Fall Fishing Is Going Strong on the Emerald Coast
Whether you're visiting Panama City Beach, 30A, or Destin, late September is providing plenty of reasons to get out on the water. The bite remains strong both inshore and offshore, with snapper continuing to provide excellent action and a variety of other Gulf species in the mix. September has been a great month of fishing, and I'm looking forward to carrying that momentum right into October.
Inshore Fishing Update
There's plenty to target inshore as we move into fall. Redfish, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, and black drum remain among the fish we're looking for around the bays, grass flats, and nearshore waters.
Inshore trips are a great option for families, younger anglers, and anyone who wants to experience some of the Emerald Coast's fishing without making a longer run offshore.

Offshore Fishing Update
Offshore fishing continues to provide plenty of action, with snapper remaining one of the biggest highlights. Recent trips have produced some impressive catches of snapper along with grouper, mahi, and other Gulf favorites, and that everything continues to bite as September comes to a close.
There are also several seasonal opportunities to take advantage of right now. Gag grouper season runs through September 30, red snapper remains open through October 4, and greater amberjack continues through October 13. That gives us a great variety of potential targets depending on conditions, trip length, and what you're hoping to catch.

Fresh Catch Recipe Idea
With snapper continuing to be a highlight offshore, this is a great time to try my Grilled Red Snapper with Lemon Garlic Butter. Fresh Gulf snapper doesn't need much to make an outstanding meal, and a simple preparation is a great way to enjoy your catch after a day on the water.
Captain's Tip
“Fall gives us a lot of options on the Gulf, and that's one of the things I enjoy most about this time of year. Some days the snapper are the stars, while other trips give us opportunities for grouper, amberjack, mahi, or a mix of different species.
This week is also a good time to keep the season calendar in mind. Gag grouper season ends September 30, followed by red snapper on October 4, while greater amberjack remains open through October 13. If there's a particular species you'd like to target, let me know and I'll help you choose the trip that gives us the best opportunity based on current conditions.”
Whether you're interested in an Inshore Fishing Charter, Offshore Fishing Charter, Family Fishing Charter, or want me to choose the day's best option with a Captain's Choice Charter, we'll build the trip around your group and what's happening on the water.
There's plenty happening on the Gulf, and I'm looking forward to another great week of fishing.
