Red Snapper Season Update – 2026 Dates Announced

Red Snapper season has been announced

Red Snapper Season Returns with Multiple Open Windows

Red snapper season has officially been announced across the Emerald Coast, and it’s shaping up with a strong mix of early summer and fall opportunities from Santa Rosa Beach to Destin and over toward Panama City Beach.

This year’s open dates include:
May 24–26, June 1–July 31, September 1–14, September 19–21, September 26–28, October 3–5, October 10–12, October 17–19, October 24–26, October 31–November 2, with additional opportunities expected through late November.

Red snapper season is always one of the most anticipated times to fish the Gulf, and for good reason. These fish are known for their strong fights, great table quality, and the kind of experience that works just as well for first-time anglers as it does for more experienced groups.

If you’re planning time along the Gulf Coast of Florida, this is one of the best windows of the year to get offshore and take advantage of what red snapper season has to offer. And for those visiting who serve or have served, we do offer a military and first responder discount as a small thank you.
