Emerald Coast Fishing Update - This Week

King mackerel are beginning to show up offshore.

Steady Spring Conditions with Summer Patterns Starting to Show

Conditions along the Emerald Coast are staying steady, with warm, clear water and calm mornings continuing to open up good fishing windows from Santa Rosa Beach through Destin and over toward Panama City Beach.

Inshore, mangrove snapper, redfish and spotted trout are holding along the flats and grass lines, with flounder showing more consistency and sheepshead still around structure. Offshore, king mackerel are starting to show up. Vermilion snapper and triggerfish are keeping things active, and we’re starting to see more red snapper showing up as well, though the season doesn’t open until May 24, so those remain catch-and-release for now.

If you’re checking in on what’s been biting lately or starting to think about timing, this is a good stretch to see how inshore trips, offshore trips, and family trips are lining up across the Gulf Coast of Florida. And with Memorial Day approaching, we always like to extend a military and first responder discount as a small thank you to those who serve and have served.
