Conditions across the Emerald Coast have been challenging this week, with rough seas, wind, and larger waves limiting offshore opportunities on many days. When the Gulf has provided a window, anglers have been making the most of it, often fitting multiple trips into the calmer periods.

Inshore fishing has continued to offer the most consistent opportunities during the rougher stretches, especially for families and anglers looking to stay closer to shore.
Offshore
Offshore opportunities have depended heavily on weather windows, but anglers getting out have continued finding red snapper, triggerfish, vermilion snapper, red grouper, and mahi. With red snapper season now open through July 31 under current Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) regulations, we're looking forward to seeing what the fishery does once conditions settle into a more consistent pattern.
